Well, one measure to decide whether it's a worthy measure is the progress achieved by our own advocacy organizations' checklist of what was referred to as the "low-hanging fruit" that the Obama administration and/or Congress could achieve in short order, right?

Mike Signorile pulled the cache of a Blade article about a list of issues presented to the Obama admin by National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund, and the Human Rights Campaign (which submitted its own 80-page report as well) as reps met with the the incoming admin during those heady days when "change" was in the air just before Barack Obama took office.
