After the state Supreme Court approved same-sex marriage last month, Jonna Thomas, 29, and her partner, Crista Mason, 30, were forced to view their relationship in a new light: Now that they had the option to marry, were they ready

And if they weren't, what did that say about their relationship?

"When there was no option, the lines were blurry," Thomas said. "We always kind of thought of ourselves as married, but the truth was, we could always walk away... And now, the line between 'steady dating' and 'married' has been clarified. It ups the ante of the relationship.
