'NoOn1 - Protect Maine Equality' ran a superb campaign but they lost in the messaging war. They learned many lessons from the failed NoOn8 campaign in California, including how to craft a more effective campaign message. But, ultimately, their ads were not strong enough, they failed to respond to last-minute attacks, and they failed to utilize key information to launch attacks of their own.
