Scores of major cities across the U.S. and around the world host gay pride parades and festivals each year. Leave it to Las Vegas to find a way to stand out from the pack: We hold our parade after dark, with brightly lit floats, and parade marchers and watchers carrying flashlights and other things that glow in the dark. The 10th annual Las Vegas Gay Pride Parade steps off at 8 p.m. tonight (Friday, May 2) from 4th Street and Bridger and heads north along 4th to Ogden Avenue, near the Fremont Street Experience.
