Gay Pride in Miami?

Like a baby bird hatching into a scary world, a small group of Miami residents has big ideas and a dream to bring the Magic City its own Pride celebration in the Fall of 2010. After witnessing the success of Pride Miami Beach in April, Center for Positive Connections Program Coordinator Eddie Orozco said he wants to form a committee to put together a Pride event that Miami could call its own. "I want Miami to have its own as all other major cities have their own Pride festivals," Orozco said. "We do not want to interfere with other Prides (in South Florida). We want to bring the whole community together, especially the youth who have no outlet, and to do this thing where everyone can be together in a comfortable environment. Full story...
