The cutting of customers' credit limits by banks in the UK is having an impact on holidays, the specialist gay travel company Mantrav International claims.
Reductions of credit limits has been going on for several months.
One bank, Sainsbury's Bank, said it was cutting the card limits on its customers as part of a "limit reduction initiative". . But it insisted it always abides by the industry's rules on treating customers fairly.
This has had a direct impact on people who have been booking holidays
.Malcolm Hardy from Mantrav International reports that "many bookings are being cancelled last minute because people's credit lines have been halved and people are relying on their credit card to fund their holiday!"
