The Way I See It Aug 19 08Today is a snow day for me as I work from home due to Tropical Storm Fay making herself known in our area. While we did not take a direct hit from the storm, as that went to the other side of the state, we have had heavy downpours of rain and sustained winds of 40 - 60 mph since about 1AM. Luckily, I slept through most of the storm last night, but woke up this morning around 5. The bands of rains and winds continue to roll through. For those of you who don't know what a "band" is, it is the long reaching segments of the storm. If you think of a storm as an octopus, the bands are the tentacles. Full story...
