The Way I See It Sep 04 08Just the name "Ike" conjures up the thoughts of a bad ass. Over the next few days I am afraid I may find out just how bad-ass Ike can be.Presently a Category 4 Hurricane with sustained winds of 135 mph, Ike could hit our area as the first MAJOR hurricane to hit the mainland in several years. SIGHIf you look at the latest projection path below, it shows the storm coming into our area in the middle of next week. See that lake in the middle of the south end of the state? That is Lake Okeechobee, it is our primary water supply. If you go due east from that lake, you find West Palm Beach....yep, that's us. Full story...
