Sticky Crows Jun 30 08Here it is, my last day as a smoker. I feel it's important to go public with it because one needs every motivation possible. The shame of public failure is a big motivator. There are other motivating factors too, a few of which I wrote down and posted on the wall. Because you love your lungs. Because you don't want cigarettes to control your life - you are in control. Sticky Crows 3 days agoHere I am 100 days under my belt and I'm granted the elder label. It certainly doesn't feel like I'm an elder, much like I don't feel my 43 years of age.

Sticky Crows 5 days agoIt was a splendid sunny day yesterday, so I took a walk down to the botanical gardens. I was surprised to see monarch butterflies.

Sticky Crows 6 days agoThis is for Java. I saw the pretty pinky sunrise coming so I threw on clothes and walked over to the bridge with the tripod yesterday.
Consciousness percolating
Sticky Crows Oct 04 08It's so nice to wake up in the morning these days. For the better part of 20 years, I'd woken up in a state of withdrawal, the need for nicotine spurring me from bed towards that glorious first cigarette of the day.
Not worried
Sticky Crows Oct 03 08Ack and a half I have nada to say. I could talk about the weather (splendid and fall-like) or the monster BLT's we ate last night (my mouth just gushed saliva remembering it) or the nervousness in classes I'm giving in the financial district (the hot-shots are especially so) but I'm not going to because I was able to sum them up parenthetically.
Loyalty cards?
