I have a brief update on my mom.First the good news: The pathology from the hysterectomy indicates there is no indication that the cancer has spread beyond the uterus and they are extremely confident that they got everything with the surgery.Now the bad news: Just to be on the safe side, they want her to have six treatments of chemotherapy over 4.5 months, to ensure that there is nothing they missed on the cellular level.Mom called last Friday to let me know all this and she sounded very chipper and reassuring while we talked, so I worked hard not cry during the conversation.
