New poll: Anti-gay Prop. 8 trails by 17 points as opposition grows
Qnews Sep 18 08Source: Sacramento Bee , San Jose Mercury News , California Majority Report CA Prop. 8 A proposed constitutional amendment that seeks to ban same-sex marriage in California has lost support during the past two months and now trails by a 17-point margin according to a new Field Poll released today, while the percentage of those who say they oppose the ban appears to be on the rise. Just 38 percent of likely voters back Proposition 8 while 55 percent say they will vote against the Nov. 4 ballot measure, according to a new Field Poll.
