Arthur S. Leonard is a law professor at New York Law School. He not only explains the law to his students, but – fortunately for us all – also explains issues related to sexuality and the law in a highly readable blog, Leonard Link.

Last week he responded to a question that’s been popping up about a Florida Court decision last week (our summary of it is here) that relied on the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the US Constitution to affirm the right of a lesbian parent to maintain visitation rights with a child she had legally adopted here in Washington.

Some have asked since then if the court’s reasoning would also apply to same sex marriages. Full story...
