Latest Oct. poll still shows Fla. anti-gay Amendment 2 close, but trailing
Qnews Oct 19 08Source: South Florida Sun Sentinel , Florida Times Union A poll taken this week for two Florida newspapers shows that an effort to constitutionally ban marriage equality in the state would still fail to get the super-majority needed to be enacted. The measure, Amendment 2, would likely also put some of the state's existing domestic partnership rights in legal jeopardy, opponents of the measure contend . The poll of 600 likely voters taken for the a South Florida Sun Sentinel and Florida Times-Union shows support for Amendment 2 at 53 percent, less than the 60 percent approval rate required.
