Lambeth Conference ends without firm decisions, but also without formal schism

Source: BBC News , ReligiousIntelligence.com , AFP The major once-per-decade meeting of Anglican bishops has ended without the formal schism that some had feared when it started, but also without any clear decisions on how to heal the rift. As the conference ended, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, attempted to put a positive spin on the meeting, BBC News reports. He said the "pieces are on the board" to resolve the row over homosexuality which threatens to split the Anglican Church. The announcement came on the last day of the Lambeth Conference, which has been overshadowed. Full story...
