Rodrigo Santoro stepped on the runway in a Hot Wheels t-shirt along with Caroline Trentini and Alessandra Ambrósio dressed as Barbie for a kids fashion show yesterday in São Paulo. The event was sponsored by C&A, Hot Wheels, and Mattel. Both Caroline and Alessandra are under contract with C&A in Brazil until September. It is not often that you see such fine examples of the national genetic code in one single event. After the post on Fernando Fernandes yesterday, I got an email from his booker telling me that he posed for a fashion magazine last week.
The national ad campaigns this season are all about imported talent. From Lara Stone at Forum to Jessica Stam at Santa Lolla, it is clear that Brazilian brands are investing more and more in foreign girls recently.

Because it looks a little silly and cliché to me, and the chemistry between Jesus Luz and Cintia Dicker is clearly nonexistent, especially when compared to the Calvin Klein Jeans campaign with Eva Mendez and Jamie Dornan.

Alessandra Ambrósio is on a roll lately. She did two ad campaigns in Brazil, made a runway comeback at Prada, Giles, and Louis Vuitton this season, posed for the cover of the June issue of Glamour in St.
Model Fernando Fernandes doesn't cease to amaze me after the tragic car crash which left him paralyzed from the waist down in July of last year.
If you haven't heard of the Buati party yet, think carioca hipsters, exotic dancers, fashionistas, body glitter, and a lot of pole dancing (and you wonder why it became the most talked about party in Rio over the past year).
