Off to a bit of a late start this morning... My apologies for the delay in posting the Official (212) Project Runway recap. My goal today is to keep it brief (which I tell myself I'm going to do every week!)
It was another quiet night at the Park Slope Party pad. Craig came back from Dallas, but we opted for an evening homos-alone, and didn't extend the invitation to any of our usual Runway watchers. Next week we should be back in full-swing with Jason, Tim, Jay, Nick, Adam, Saskia, and Scott.Tonight's episode begins with everyone lamenting the loss of Louise. Full story...
Great lunch with Jim Key and Derrick Shore at Elmo. And from the Small World files: Love the artwork on the walls, then realized they're by one of Michael's old pals, Burton Machen.
The Patriots quarterback and newlywed sports his best Jack Tripper look in this public service announcement for Earth Hour.
Aussie Sam Worthington lands the cover of DETAILS this month: "preternaturally square-jawed, thin-lipped, squinty-eyed, his big, expressive brow scored with three muted furrow lines, the skin ruddy and pinkish like a rugby player's and darkened around the edges by an omnipresent nimbus of beard scruff.
In memory of the great Alex Chilton, the gifted singer/songwriter of Box Tops and Big Star fame who died Wednesday at 59, I give you "The Ballad of El Goodo" from Big Star's classic debut, "#1 Record.
Rafael Nadal moved into the semifinals Indian Wells, Calif., yesterday, in what can only be described as good news for men's tennis.
An absolutely gorgeous night in Greenwich Village.
Former club kid Steve Lewis reports in BlackBook that he visited Michael Alig yesterday prison and that the convicted murderer and fashion victim is set to be released between August and October.
It's no secret I'm a big fan of David Wright. But as recent pictures show, the Mets third baseman has gotten A LOT BIGGER since last season, way more so than can be considered remotely normal.
Sending out a big CONGRATULATIONS to my friend and occasional (212) contributor Frank Anthony Polito, whose sophomore novel, "Drama Queers," was just nominated for Best Gay Romance in this year's Lambda Literary Awards.
It blows my mind that even after everything Tiger Woods has been through he's still running around with women who have sex for money.
