Two men returning from a Halloween event were assaulted in Long Island's Nassau County early Sunday morning in what police are calling a hate crime. One man was arrested - and two others are still being sought - in the beating and robbery of two men in Lakeview early Sunday morning, Nassau County police said. The two victims, one of whom was dressed up in drag for Halloween, were walking on Woodfield Road near Janos Ave. when they were approached around 1:50 a.m. by a car being driven by a woman with three men inside. The three men - including 23-year-old Robert Bellamy Jr. - apparently got out of the car and surrounded the victims, who were on their way home from a Halloween party. Full story...
