Greetings, loyal readers and true believers. GayProf is having a week of living blogfully. My good fortune allowed me to finally meet (in RL) one of my favorite bloggers of all time: Dorian from Postmodern Barney. He and his friend John made a rest stop in Midwestern Funky Town on their cross-country journey. When I first started this blog, Dorian was an early inspiration and a really generous reader. He was just as rockin' cool as I imagined (and pretty darn sweet). It was also a pleasure to meet John, one of the few other people I have ever encountered who played Starfleet Battles as a youngster (Yes, I was that type of nerd). Full story...

My blogging buddy Historiann recently invited me to join her in a discussion about teaching the U.S. history survey.
Big Midwestern University has one of the shortest breaks between semesters in the entire nation. My loyal readers might imagine that the past six weeks have been spent lounging about without a care in the world.

Over the past few weeks I have been hearing from a variety of graduate students in my academic programs about their frustrations with the current curriculum.
Let me tell you, kiddies, this semester is kicking GayProf’s ass. I have been deeply involved in “service.
Halloween always offers so many of my favorite things: candy, punch, sex with a man in a mask (who isn't into the leather scene).
Greetings from High-Altitude-Urban-Center! HAUC is a lovely city, even if it is currently covered in ice.
Like all good little professors, GayProf can be found on campus these days. He has been working hard at the start of the semester.
