Omniture Bar Stand
Rumour of a free bar at a conventional stand had spread far and wide before this event, or so I had thought, so imagine my surprise to see so few people milling around in front of the Omniture stand at Adtech 2008 in London’s Olympia.
The Headingley Taps
By my assumption this was a Wetherspoons that looks like a castle but in fact though it is a chain it is not chained to the largest bar brand in the UK.
The Box Bar
Well i have to say that with a name like this, box bar doesn’t conjor up images of grandure.
The Hyde Park Bar
When a bar a long way a way from London takes a name as well known as Hyde park it is difficult not to be curious as to what it might be like.
Cafe Del Mondo
This cafe gets probably 100 per cent of its business from the enormous Olympia conference hall over the road.
The Arc Bar
Just off of the main strip of pubs where Leeds infamous otley run occurs is the arc a surprising addition as a bar since it has clearly had more investment pumped into it that the drinking venues that surround it which is pretty much all pubs.
Fifty Five’s (55’s) Cocktail Bar
just off of Inverness street tucked in the back of Camden in a part of the neighbourhood that hardly resembles Camden at all sits a trendy bar bustling bar with a similar atmosphere to old Hawley Arms.
The Alexandra Pub
Being near to all the action in this central part of south london means that any such pub with the capacity and atmosphere to pull in groups of young drinkers and have them enjoy themselves, should thrive.
Bar Social Cocktail Bar
..Or should we say bar anti-social? The welcome is initially very warm -chocolates are presented to us as a gift before we even order a drink and the barman is very friendly and beaming but his colleagues loom in the dark corners of the bar.
Bar and Club 101
For a bar and club so close to the west-end it seems strange that one should only spot the entrance when walking past and there not be neon signs or more blatant marketing to pull in the drinkers and dancers but then this place has a reputation of its very own.
Bierodrome Belgian Beer Bar
At six pounds a pint for fruit beers that you have to drink in the street Bierodrome in Clapham is really not a fun place to be.
The Skyrack Bar
An almost gothic feel to what is essentially a sports bar. The Skyrack is a large pub sat in its own block with bouncers on the front door and a barred fence back garden at the rear with a swoth of outdoor tables, picnic benches and heaters.
Silent Disco Rave
London truly is a funny city. Where else can you leave work at 6pm and be dancing in the streets with a crowd by 6.
The Red Lion Pub
This pub is in fact exactly what this part of Soho needs. A nice traditional pub that escapes the high price racket that similar local bars appear to be involved in.
Strawberry Field Bar
A rather interesting addition to the Leeds bar scene, Strawberry Fields is a multi-level cafe which, in its darkened mood lighting becomes a bar.
The Holloway Pub
The Holloway is infamous with Tottenham fans everywhere. This quite large pub was built for football fans mainly, it sits very close to the arsenal stadium and yet it secretly houses the yid-army.
The New Inn
Standing rather proud and independent-looking, the New Inn is a Green King IPA pub, shaped very much like a country cottage or hut.
Tabernacle Bar
The Tabernacle is set back behind central Old Street and the station but it is one of the more trendy places to inhabit among the vast variety of bars in the area.
El Porata Bar
Sitting in the shadow of Tossa Castle and just over looking the secret beach at its rear is this al fresco bar.
Wine Bar - Arena
For some reason wine is segregated from the main bar tents in the arena and is sold at this canvas covered hatch instead.
