McCain's temper flares during pretty tame TIME interview
America Blog Aug 28 08As you know, McCain is now afraid to speak to the media. He used to talk to reporters all the time, up until a few months ago. It was the hallmark of his "maverick" status. But now, suddenly, John McCain and his campaign are deathly afraid of the candidate actually speaking with reporters. Why? Not clear. But it's a marked change from the McCain we knew just a year ago, let alone the McCain who ran for president in 2008. It's one more sign that something has changed. McCain is not the same man he was eight years ago, let alone one year ago. What happened?
