Americans Say They Accept Gay Athletes
A new survey conducted by gay marketeers Witeck-Combs Communications, suggest that 72% of all heteros surveyed said that if their favorite sports star came out of the closet, it wouldn't change their opinion of them.
What's interesting about this survey is that Americans think they're more tolerant than their neighbors. 57% of those surveyed thought that other sports fans would have a less favorable opinion of an openly gay athlete.
